Aiptasia Infestation

Pest anemone infestation in reef tanks

Symptoms

Inspect new rock and frags before they enter the display.
Use targeted removal (peppermint shrimp, commercial Aiptasia pastes, or injection methods).
Reduce excess nutrients that support their growth.

Do not simply tear or cut them off — fragments regrow into new polyps.
Do not add a chemical treatment without checking compatibility with your corals and inverts.
